Garden humor thread..

@Chickie'sMomaInNH

I always find that second one a little funny (well the first two thirds, the third part is new to me) since in my seed collection I have seed from a white, nearly transparent tomato (I nicknamed it "peeled eyeball" when I got it, because you could see all the veins through the fruit) that actually IS sweet enough that a fruit salad would be a more appropriate place for it (only time when putting a splash of vinegar and some salt on a tomato actually ruined the flavor.

Years ago, I would bat the bugs outta the way when I came in the backdoor. Two homes over 30 years had lights with inches of the doors. I wasn't afraid of the bugs. It was years before I learned that nearly all of these critters were lacewings.

I should have just bowed and said, "excuse me," as I slipped past our garden helpers.

As a child, I thought the skins of snakes were unusually beautiful. There were plenty of rattlesnakes in southern Oregon and we were taught how to walk carefully. I never lost my appreciation of their beauty.

I feel that I have a healthy fear of lightning.

"Phobophobia" is associated with panic attacks. I shouldn't make any jokes but people with unwarranted fears are scary -- especially if they get together in groups.
