I'm wondering if your wife's new friend was simply amazed at what a great all around person you are.
Or, if like a friend of a friend of mine, upon our first visit all together (with spouses), proceeded to try to spark discord and discontent between the couples. Weirdest dinner I have ever been to. It felt like she had a filet knife.

That was just a joke I read somewhere else and tailored it a little. Some of my stories on this thread are true but not that one. I should have used an emoji with it.
