I would totally grow lamps if I could
Thinking I'd brighten up in my garden, I planted bulbs last fall . . .

I thought that put things on the right track, but hopes are dimming . . .

Next year, I'll go back to old standards like candelabra primrose, flame lilies and burning bush.

Many years ago, a good friend and his wife stopped at a little cafe for lunch.

When he asked the waitress about the soup of the day, she responded, ''Split pea soup; but I surely wouldn't order it if I were you.''

He asked, ''Why not?''

With a disgusted look on her face, she responded, ''Because it's GREEEEEN!''
