I first saw those on melting snow banks, and was curious what could possibly be moving in those temperatures. My curiosity turned to surprise when a few began jumping on me... but regardless of their name, they don't bite.
That's just insane. Snow fleas I've never heard of those before

they are a very common creature probably found in any place that has plants and animals - they even live happily in my worm buckets. a common detritivore (eats about anything but does not bite live animals (unlike the flea)). they are also called springtails because of how they sometimes move about quite abruptly...

I said “I'm putting all my plants in alphabetical order...”

She replied “Really? I don't know how you find the time..!”

Oh that's easy, I said, “Its right next to the sage.”
