Wellp, after almost getting one of the camper's camps raked I finally finished round of of my seed planting today. On my list of before I had forgotten to mention the gold and the white teparies from Tierra Madre farms, and the Scherazi Tobacco.
Today I planted my selection of Rattlesnake pole beans, 25 seeds, and High Mowing Seed's selection of Rattlesnake pole beans, also 25 seeds. My selection has a lighter colored background on the seeds, and I know the pods are extremely tender. I am growing both to compare how 7 years of tight selection makes a difference. It does!
I also planted Flor de Mayo beans. A dozen or so are planted separately from the others. That group came from a plant that made true perfect cutshort pods.
I planted 63 Tarahumara Purple Ojos bean seeds too. That variety is one of the coolest. The pods are pinkish red, they begin ripening in mid september, and the seeds are almost unbelievable to describe. Deep dark purple with yellowish beige circles.
Now I'm out of space! Think I'll make another bed extension or two!
