Just read about your family gardening weekend. My families live a little too far away for semi-spontaneous gardening weekends. My in-laws have planted some things after seeing our garden during their spring break, and my mom was talking about putting in tomatoes, but then busted her knee and collarbone pruning a tree (she fell from the ladder). I grew up with grandparents who grew everything one could ever imagine, so it's no surprise I turned out the way I did,... but my father apparently doesn't get my love of gardening - he mentioned to my mom that he thought it was strange I was growing all those veggies in my backyard! Imagine next year, when I plan on expanding!
Anyways, I thought it was really neat that you and your mom and grandma shared such a special weekend. It makes me want to move closer to family (athough that would mean abandoning my "perfect" zone).
Ugh! It's TOO hot to work outside today. 89 F degrees and 30 mph winds.
*sigh*The weather is so weird - it was 30 F degrees on Friday and Sat. While picking rocks, one of my friends got frostbite on his face on Sat.
Update: Well, after getting a really bad sunburn on my back (judging from the reaction of everyone that saw it ), the day I dug the pond, I took a day off. Today I finally got the waterfall running. It still needs some work
Everything is already so gorgoeus... but I know its going to be a tropical paradise of a jungle in a just another month! You have a wonderful space girl.
And you should be MASSIVELY proud of that pond, its fabulous!!!!!
Wow What Beautiful Work That gets the THumbsup award from me Wonderful Job
It is going to be Sooo Wonderful when you get it completed (the pond that is) as Hatties says gardeners are never done. :rose :rose :rose Just an outstand job
LOVE it! I can't wait to see it in another month. I may just show up on your doorstep to see it in person (i.e., take a vacation in your yard - don't worry, I'll bring my own tent).
