Gas prices below $3/gallon?!

Woohoo, we're getting closer, i saw $3.06 this morning! That's almost a 30 cent drop from my post a little over a week ago!! :)

Oh Gosh!

Montana is nearer those refineries. I saw on the teevee that Idaho has gas prices 30 above the national average!

That seems dang lame to me! ಠ_ಠ

Edited to add that there was also something about personal income in the state ranked 49th nationally .

I saw $2.889 today. Let's see how long that lsts with Thanksgiving driving season coming up.

Some of the differences wil be refineries/transportation costs but a lot is just in State taxes. We just went up another half cent to pay for some new roads.

Im 21.8 (Arkansas), youre 25 (Idaho),

California is the highest I noticed, 53.2. Alaska is the lowest I found at 12.4.

That doesnt count the Federal of 18.4, of course.

Keeps dropping here. Three stations are at $2.82 and DH filled for $2.77 last night!
Seems crazy to me that there is such a wide range of prices across the country.

I sure waited a loooong time!

Fill-up, $2.999/gallon.

I don't see it lasting. Some stations have gas at $3.34/gallon. Of course, at this time of year, by the time I burn 20 gallons - it'll be spring! (Well, closer to spring.)

What!!?

That station on 95 between Spirit Lake and Bayview?!:hit

There are several stations below $3 in Sandpoint, as I understand it. I didn't expect it to be much lower than that to the north.

Well, not that Texacoexxonconoco station exactly, I get gas in Hayden usually. They like to jack it up about .10 a gallon more out here. Makes no sense. Pure gougery.

So far we're getting close. The lowest I've seen is $3.06 around here. Dratted fuel oil - a waste product of gasoline manufacturing - is still going for $4.00. On the other hand, corn is down from $4.83 last year to $3.50 a bushel yesterday and firewood is free as long as DH is willing to chop and haul it. We got a stack of firewood started up near the house and covered this morning.
