And I think mine is one of several thousand......does that make it a collectors item? Maybe I should auction it off on E-Bay I could probably get enough to step up in life and get a Goochie!

Now that you mention it Seed, I haven't seen any fake red alligators either. Crocodiles yes, alligators, uh uh.

Had that experience myself not long ago. The sad thing is, just about the time you've got a wallet broken in to the point where it is comfortable, it's time to replace it - with something less comfortable.

Still have my old one just don't have tme to shop for one. A lot of the exspenive designer ones are covered for life. A client bought her dog a coach collar, when collars starts to get worn she brings it back and gets a new one, I think she is on collar # 3

  "Faux" alligator. Those are the really endangered kind. That will get the PITA folks down on you. Red is just the dye to color it.

Actually, only white alligators are used for the red snap wallets. Their white hides make it easier to dye it red.
