The table I talk about in my south window is a little dropleaf affair. Mom got it for me when I had just finished my log cabin and it fit perfectly in its window there.
I cleaned the paint off the top, stained and sealed it, repainting the legs. About 35 years ago, I put it back in my parents' basement. It sat down there until my daughter rescued it for her apartment. She passed it on to my son, when he lived nearby for a couple of years.
I've got it again now. It just makes me happy looking at it ... enjoy your grandmother's table, NyBoy .
Good eye @Jared77 the chairs are 18 century Sweden. While 18 century England and America was in love with mahogany, continental Europe wanted painted. They where from the Westport house I lived in.
