We took our 8 year old Grandson, Gavin to the Home show in Boston yesterday. He is sweet and quietly friendly. He is an artist so I knew there would be lots of cool things for him to admire. It didn't hurt that there was a bowl of candy at most vendors. We made friends with a garden sculpture artist who gave him a crystal that he was admiring. The man hand an 8 year old son, also an artist, so he could relate to Gavin. He asked to see photos of his artwork and he would send us free tickets for the upcoming flower show. Gavin started drawing at the restaurant that we took him to. He spent the night with us and woke up to make more drawings and paper jewelry to send to the man we met. At night I tell him funny pet stories and little Mommy stories. I hope someday he will tell his kids favorite Grandma stories.

and keep listening to his own stories too. :) it is precious for a youngster who is rather sensitive to have someone who can listen and understand...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY THOMAS! He looks like he had a great time. That chair picture is neat! I know DD is probably already planning Evelyn's first birthday. I have no idea where or what she will do, but it will be August so at least warm. Does Thomas say words yet? I can't wait to hear Evelyn talk.

Actually, I was just talking to DD about something like this. I said she is kind of rough and not very dainty. Lol. She makes the craziest sounds and gets mad fast. Then, turns around and looks like tiny cute little baby girl. I was a real tom-boy and DD, the dainty little girl to extreme and then milked goats her first job and bought a horse.

It was a great day for making a snow man. Somehow Landon went in crying because his brother threw him into the snow-after Landon threw about 20 snowballs at Gavin. Gavin and I made a few snowmen. I remember as a little girl wanting them to last forever. But Gavin wanted to make it in the line of fire with the zip line so he could kick it down on the way by. Boys.

Took Thomas to NW seed and pets yesterday to pick up some seed starting supplies that we were out of. He wanted to climb all over the giant gorilla.

@Gardening with Rabbits, he is sharp minded little guy for sure. He does a lot of talking that only he knows what he is saying lol. He loves his animal book and can quack like a duck, moo like a cow, and roar like a bear and lion.

@ninnymary he is a snuggly boy for sure. He is currently wearing size 3T clothing, his growth seems to be slowing down a bit though. I hope so he outgrows his clothes after only one or two times wearing it.
