On another thread, I could not find, Someone mentions how the little ones LIKE housework. Well the Grandsons where here yesterday. They peeled potatoes for lunch, washed cabinets, doors, floors and swept ! All their own ideas... of course I went behind mopping spills and picking up peels (they where all over!) But they sure had fun.

It must be nice, Carol Dee.

Sounds like you enjoyed each other and the goings-on ;).

My 2 1/2 year old loves to vacuum, put away dishes, "Wash" dishes, and put the dirty laundry in the washer. I'm currently looking for a broom that is not disastrous on the opposite end while he's sweeping. He also puts away shoes and (upon request) will put his toys away...then instantly take them all back out. >.<

I was told two was supposed to be horrible, but I must admit, so far I'm liking it. :D

For mine the Terrible Twos kicked in closer to 2-1/2, but they are all different. Each kid has its own unique personality. It’s a great age. They are trying so hard to learn, but sometimes that requires patience on your part.

I don’t know if it is so much they like to clean as they are copying what others are doing, learning by example. They are closely watching everything that is going on around them. Somebody is setting a good example. And even better, letting them act it out.

Carol, on another thread someone said that TEG people had really attractive grandkids. You are upholding that tradition.

Hello AMKuska the youngest Grandson just turned three. He was a fun two year old. Full of love and energy. His older bro... oh my! He WAS a terrible 2! But at 6 is delightful most days.

Why thank you. :) We think they are pretty darn cute. I have to give their Daddy lots of credit for their helpfulness. Washing dishes is another fun past time here. They will spend and hour with bubbles and running water. Everything will get sopping wet. Counters, window, kids and me. (It is only water and wrinkled fingers are fun.) :)
