Why thank you. We think they are pretty darn cute. I have to give their Daddy lots of credit for their helpfulness. Washing dishes is another fun past time here. They will spend and hour with bubbles and running water. Everything will get sopping wet. Counters, window, kids and me. (It is only water and wrinkled fingers are fun.)

Glad you are enjoying them rather than fussing about things not getting done correctly.

For me, the 2's were great, & 3's & 4's. Now HS for son and college for daughter, that's a different story.

Steve, Thanks, I think both of my boys did o.k. They can cook, clean AND Sew! Something my DIL can not or will not do Patting myself on the back I think We did a good job raising them to be self sufficient.

I have always loved 2 year olds. They are so funny and real little people. Once they are old enough to really work effectively they will lose the joy of cleaning. I am glad to see my daughter raising her boys to help the way my kids were raised.

I love watching young people at work! For them, work is not a bad word, it is a sign of growing up. My daughter's husband did all the vacuuming. When I bought a realistic toy vacuum for my granddaughter, the younger grandsons were irate. Vacuuming was a man's job and they wanted her toy.

I'm sorry Red, that's just wrong! Women do vacuuming, men hunt and fish! Oh crap, I haven't hunted or fished in decades. I take that back........we garden.

Poor seedcorn. A twin to my DH it would seem. When we were dating, all I heard the family talk about was his hunting trips, his shooting, his archery, his fishing trips, his daily stint along the river out back. All good traits IMHO.

Then we married. No hunting, no shooting, no archery, no fishing -- not even along the river behind Mom's house. Sigh! I felt cheated. My mother got 10 new bathrooms out of my DH and 10 new kitchens. All this for someone who did NOT want us to marry.

DH still works with wood, but despite my efforts to get him to play Bwana, he just seems to have gotten all the sporting out of his blood before we met. And he will vacuum if I remember to ask. Keeper, keeper, keeper!
