Green Pepper Plants

I think your lucky! I planted several pepper plants and all I have left is one! LOL I believe a lil rabbit decided it liked them. I also have banana peppers and they are good and rabbit left them alone, it must have been something about the 'bell' hahaha

I wouldn't pinch. Peppers can go longer into the fall than most of the other things in the garden. They'll put up with a light frost. I always find the later season peppers to be a little juicier/thicker walled, once the heat of summer tapers off.
Your summers must be hot... there is no such thing as a later season pepper in the years I've tried. LOL But I've since just given up...average day temps in the mid 70's for the hottest part of summer = waste of time/space/energy.
Yeah, they usually are. July and August you can count on to run 80's and 90's, sometimes even into September. My first frost usually comes around Oct. 20th. I forget sometimes how tough some of you guys have it farther up north! :P

My brother pinches his until his bushes get bigger blagh, blagh blagh. I don't and take what I get. In August when they are at their glory, he had great big bushes load with peppers and I have big bushes loaded with peppers (more than I can every use or can). If you have doubts about pinching them don't. They will be fine. Lastly, if it gets cold and you have a freeze looming you can pull up the bush, peppers intake and hang itupside down in you basement or garage and they will continue to rippen. I don't do this but I have a longer season.

Thanks all for your info.:D It is amazing how we all have to work with our plants in such different ways based on where we live, but are still able to produce the same wonderful veggies. (for the most part) I am happy with my garden so far. Everything seems to be growing well, looking healthy. I took the radishes out that were marking my carrot rows. They of course were not fully developed, but we did have a few on our salad last night and then I gave the rest to the cows. They seemed to enjoy them!

One little pepper coming along. Don't mind the weeds. They're coming along nicely too!

That looks just about like my pepper plants, Stubborn. I am just starting to see a few flowers, and one teeny tiny pepper! My plants did not get big and bushy last year- but they were full of peppers. Just finished eating my frozen ones this month!

lesa, sounds like perfect timing for you! I'm ok with them not getting bushy as long as they produce. My tomato plants have little blosoms on them now too! So exciting isn't it? :D

Exciting it is!!! I have a few blooms on the grape tomatoes, still waiting on the paste.... This sure is my favorite time of the year!

I do it both ways. When they are under 1 foot tall I pick off most of the blooms on all plants but leave a small # of blooms, then when a little over a foot tall I leave some with all the blooms they can make and others I keep picking blooms off of so they get a bit larger with bigger late yield.
