Steve I'm an Eagle Scout I promise I can manage a fire
I couldn't imagine having to live next to those things, or why someone would want them unless they were being raised for the grill or smoker. But after that I don't know how much use one would be. When I had, they brined it, then slowly smoked it with a rub. Was wonderful. It was a Canada goose so I'd imagine the "domestic" ones (I do use that term pretty loosely with regards to geese) would be that much better.
Maybe with MontyJ's raspberry BBQ sauce/glaze he posted up here I bet we could make some real believers now just finding some who's willing to put up with them so we can invite them all for dinner
*On a side note* Is it that wet around there Steve that you need shavings? We've got about 4" of snow yesterday and it started back up within the last hour and its falling at a pretty good clip. With as much snow as we've gotten so far I think we're starting to get back to normal after the 2012 dry season we experienced.
