Wow... you got a much better harvest then I did. I lost 1/2 my plants early and the heat was so unbareable the tomatoes and peppers struggled. :(

Everything looks so DELICIOUS!!!!

vfem..Thank you..Sorry to hear you lost so many plants..I am wishing you a better garden season for 2011..:)

I lost some plants also..some tomato plants struggled, weather related, chickens/rodents getting into garden etc.. I planted over 200 tomato plants..the best survived and I still had plenty to can and for fresh eating..I was planning on cutting back this year...It was a struggle to take care of all the gardens and GH..Now we all know how that goes once winter ends and the seed catalogs roll in .:D

Ginny....Nice...thanks for the photos....I can't wait to start planting....I always raise the "Sungolds" as well...not and heirloom...but so tasty and sweet.....like mini oranges. I got some nice seeds from James Campbell in New York....I can't wait to try these Blue tomatoes...

Rusty Thanks..Good luck with the Blue tomatoes from James..I saw his offer on a few sites but did not take him up on it! They are a unique looking pretty variety of tomato, I heard diff. opinions on the taste. Be sure to post pics as the season progresses..
And yes, last year was the first for growing Sungold F1..As the season progressed, the SG cherry tomatoes tasted better and better..Production was amazing! The vines were over 5 feet..Will be back in this years garden..My grandsons favorite!!

I'm dreaming of tomatoes this time of year! Those Costoluto Genovese sure are good-lookin', aren't they! I grew some last year too.

Ariel and journey, Thanks!. It was -10 degrees when we woke up
yesterday..Brrr..But the sun shone all day, and inside my GH it was 57 degrees..I could have stayed out there all day, it was so nice! I just dreamed of having fresh tomatoes again..I think we all long for it this time of year!!

Journey, the Costoluto Genovese was a good one for me...Very productive and great taste..It will be back for 2011 garden.

Mary, in what way do you have a hardtime w/heirlooms? Disease, location, varieties? Sometimes we just have to keep trying and find what works for us in our gardens w/regards to soil and climate and realize what dosent..
