Hello everyone my name is Leilani I was gonna make this journal about my family and our daily lives taking care of our cattle and our goats! If you would like to tag along I will be posting on here a lot I hope everyone enjoys watching our cows grow aswell as all the other animals on the ranch!

Here’s our cow name Minnie as you can see how short she is that’s how she got her name so a little backstory of Minnie is she was my first show heifer and we ended up keeping her and not selling her because we thought she would produce us great calves so in 2020 we bred her with our bull after show season was over and she was pregnant! So come 2021 on February 8-15 all the claves were dropping so we were waiting on Minnie and she still hadn’t gave birth yet take in consideration this is her first baby so we thought something happened to the baby maybe it got lost so we waited didn’t give up and then out popped a baby on saint Patrick’s day March 17 of 2021 thank god! So here is Minnie after having her baby she got extra treats and the best part about it is that SHE gave us our first heifer calf of 2021!! Sadly the rest are baby bulls which will be going to slaughter or to sell when they are weaned off the mommas

The other brown cow we had to send off becuase she started loosing patches of hair and we didn’t want whatever was wrong with her to affect the rest of the cattle!
