I have a feeling if accident was reported he would have lost his insurance. he kept begging me not to. I am fine, when I was in my early 20s I was speeding and not wearing a seatbelt I had a accident and went right though windshield. Luckly there was a great plastic surgeon who put my face back together. I still have fine scars across my face. After that I care nothing for any damage done to my vehicles if I am ok. The man was shaking not sure if from age or nerves from accident. Watching Judge Judy I learned very important to always have a police report done. When I told cop I was sitting at light and he just drove into me, cop asked old man if it was true and did I threaten. I was shocked and said do I look like a monster who would threaten old people. He said relax your a big guy you can be intimating. I been called a lot of things but never intimating lol

So glad you are o.k. (It might not have been the worst thing for him to be reported, sounds like it is time for him to hang up his keys anyway!) A few months ago I got rear-ended at a light, just as it changed and I had my foot off the brake to go. The bump caused some crunching sounds and rolled me forward. I looked back in my mirror to see the other driver turn into the alley and disappear! I got no better description than a small silver car and female driver! Thank Goodness it actually caused no damage to my van.( Hope it at least messed up something on her car.) :somad

1st time I was at red light in ford pick up, woman drove right into me. I am sure she was on cell. Whole front end and hood was smashed in. I had small dent on bumper. She started crying.

Glad you were not injured, but I think this older gent is one accident away from losing his license. That is why he doesn't want to turn it in to insurance I think.many years ago when I was maybe 20 I was hit by a old drunk guy my car had front end damage but his classic car was trashed. He did the same begged me to not call police so I felt bad and did not. Only a half mile down road was a fire station . I don't know why but I pulled in and filed a report gave guys name and license number. Two years later I was working on a construction site and get served papers I was being sued by this old guys insurance for 25000 and change. His police report was made for 2 days after mine was. I just sent in a copy of it and 2 weeks later they sent me an apology letter and busted this guy for insurance fraud. Thank god I had the where with all to file that report.

For company I work for, it is grounds for dismissal if I don't call and file a police report.

Daughter on interstate got reared ended at construction site. Driver took off but it pushed her car into car in front of her. That lady had all kind of previous dings on her car. She was thinking all the insurance $$ she was going to get. Made my DD call police, report, etc. since neither party got plate of fleeing person, both insurance companies had to cover their own insured. Bet that lady was MAD...

Daughter was driving my old Buick-no damage.
