How I Arrived in the PNW

Here is the first car I remember. It may be a picture of a Pontiac instead of an Oldsmobile. The grey one we had was a '49. The rear end distinguished the GM cars from other makes but the Olds, Plymouths and Pontiac were all made like this.

This wasn't how I came home from the hospital. That must have been a Hudson. I thought it was the Hornet but I guess I predate that model. Anyway, I don't remember the Hudson. It may have been from the 30's. I sure remember the Olds! A 1950 Dodge replaced it but we had 2 cars for awhile.

Yeah, I bet somebody has a picture of Mom beside a Hudson.

She sent letters and pictures to Dad while he was in the military and overseas. Dad brought all those back home.

I nearly bought a '53 Packard as a first car. Woulda but ... Coulda but ... Shoulda.

Then, I wouldna have been out on foot when that guy in a suit came by, looking for directions:
