Some of my plants are actually big enough to show up on camera. Finally. I've always wanted to post on this thread, but never seemed ready. But here goes.

I'm eating three kinds of lettuce (as are the rabbits) and spinach.

The broccoli is looking good and the watermelons and summer squash have just germinated. The tomatos and peppers are in and they haven't died yet. That's about all I can say for them right now. The beans are up (limas and red kidney beans). The snap (pole) beans are going to be planted in the corn rows soon, which is finally looking sturdy enough to hold them up.

I better get out there and put up the rest of the fence or Peter Rabbit and Bambi will be happier than I am tomorrow morning.

Thank you all. Your compliments make me beam.

I guess we all love being outside. I'm very thankful to have something I enjoy so much. This is my first veggie garden and I'm having a ball. I never would have thought I could be so proud of lettuce. :^))

Well, I only got the fence half done and the moon is very bright. Looks like I will be putting in another moonlit work session because I saw a big fat wood chuck and a middle sized one right behind it today. I really should get the electric in the fence.

Keep up the good work all, and happy gardening.

We have had two very chilly nights -- not quite freezing (that's just north of here). I've had the floating fleece back on again from late afternoon until 8am. during the day (yesterday) it was fine & fairly warm but today it's been overcast & drizzling with rain.......!! Still I managed this morning to sow 2 different varieties of Spinach, Medina & Bloomsdale. It will be interesting to see how they do. I love the stuff & could eat it every day. The only way I don't like it is creamed --Urgh.....! :sick But then I'm not a great fan of cream & milk.

I put in Kohl Rabi, Turnips, Celtuce, & more Radish. Then the rain came down heavily so I came insde. It may stop in time for me to put in some more carrots & some slips of lavender (they are supposed to help the carrots).

Yesterday I took cuttings from my newly bought Lemon Verbena & French Tarragon. I've put the big plants in decorative pots as I know they will have to come inside for the winter (already thinking ahead).

Hey everyone! I'm finally back after sending the computer off for some warranty work. Looks like everybody has been busy. On the plus side, without the WWW to distract me , I really got a lot done outside. Finished planting tomatoes, cukes , summer squash and beans. I AM DONE! (for now anyway). I'll get some pictures up asap. I guess now we need to start making plans for fall planting. Anyone else planning to do a fall planting this year? Oh yeah! I almost forgot to mention it, but I think I have finally been successful with Elephant garlic. It seems like it is doing something :celebrate I've tried and tried to grow that stuff and cut worms always got to it first, so I'm pretty excited about it. I'll post a picture after I dig it up.

Anyway, it's good to be back. Take care everyone and HAPPY GARDENING!!
