After a long winter of looking at empty window boxes at work, I couldn't wait for spring. All week I was on a mission to find pansies, my sign spring is here. Middle of March and no one had them. I was about to give it up to late winter being so long here in NY. Last night went to supermarket for cornbeef, they had flats of pansies !!!!!! what flower tells you its spring?

Amazing photo @Wishin' !!

I love pansies, but usually spring happens so fast they get skipped over. And I just can't seem to get the seed starting going in Dec/Jan.

My first blooms are daffodils and hyacinths, usually around mid April, if the snow is gone.

To me, spring means those tiny blue wild flowers in the lawn. Those 1/4" four petalled little things. Don't know what they are.

Daffodils followed by Tulips. Wishin' it sounds like you are describing Creeping Charlie! ( A weed here) For wild flower, the violets come about the time the forsythia and pussy willow blooms.
