Just hang on- I always tell myself, I just have to make it to Dec 21st and then the days will be getting longer! Spring will be here before you know it! (Can you tell the sun is shining?)

I was just saying that to my husband last night Lesa, "the days are going to start getting longer here pretty soon!" :) I guess I better snap to it and get my indoor winter projects started and finished ( like figuring my taxes ).

Wasn't yesterday beautiful Steve? No snow to shovel either!

Where? At your house, Lesa?? Give it back!!!

Lovely day yesterday, Thistle'!

Now, if the sun will only come out on a day I can actually get out and about . . . well, no choice actually. Have to be out and about soon. Hopefully, any sun riding low on the southern horizon, won't just blearily show up during any more air inversions. Yesterday was nice, there was even a slight breeze . . .

Steve :(

It's a dark, dreary, and wet day today.....snow to the North of me and snow to the South of me....we're the ones that usually get it.....the Lake effect snow from Lake Michigan and Lake Superior..... Our local weather channel showed today's sunrise was 8:00a.m. and tonight's sunset (really afternoon:/) is going to be 4:58 p.m. not too many daylight hrs. I hate going to work in the dark and getting home in the dark....:(..... But like we all know...after the 21st....days get longer....Thank God!!! And we're usually up to our eyebrows in snow by now......I'll take rain over snow....I don't have to shovel snow. This a photo of the snow drift outside my backdoor a couple of years ago.....one hr. later....you couldn't see out it at all....completely buried.......so I'm not complaining a bit with the rain......(too much).

I have been counting down since the beginning of December. Going to work in the dark and coming home in the dark stinks. I never get to see my chickens since they are still on the roost when I leave and on the roost when I get home. :hit
