Well now I wish I had stuck my turkey carcass in the freezer. Didn't think about that. By the end of the meal and cleaning up, I'm tired, so I tossed it in the trash. The last thing I think of is making broth. I really need to remember not to do it next year.

Well, I'll admit to putting a pot holder on a refrigerator shelf and setting a warm pot on it. I don't think I have set the small cutting board on that glass shelf under a hot pot. I have that habit when I move things off the stove to the microwave cart or table.

What would be the alternative?

If I have to do much handling of boiling hot broth, that would certainly discourage me from making it. As it is, I covet every bone that comes my way.
