Marshall, NO ONE needs to be nagged. You will get it done. Just in your own time. Come live with me, after week of nagging you will go running back to woods! My wife is a pro on this. She can't see any of her responsibilities but sees all of mine and feels need to over them daily--even adding to list.... Count your blessings.

LOL, oh Marshall you are just as a good a procrastinator as I am! So if I *remind* you to go fix the netting, will you *remind* me to clean the closets? :D

Marshall, when I don't want to do something (like my taxes) I do a little at a time, take a break and do something I enjoy. I'll work for about an hour and then take a 20 min. break. Can you do this? Can you sew for 30 min. and then take a break? How long will it take? If you really hate to do it, perhaps you can sew for 30 min. a day?

I have a good sized roll of twine. those softball sized rolls run out too fast, so this is the next size up.

for the initial restitching i tie the pieces together where it broke this winter. one problem with that is lining them up, elsewise it bunches up one of them on one side, the other on the other end. plus that makes it tighter.

it's not really sewing. I cut a bunch of pieces of twine a foot long or so, and stuff them in my pocket. i overlap the netting a couple inches, hold in place with one hand, grab a piece and push it through, out, and back in, using a fingertip, then pull the ends together and do a regular square knot, except the first tie through of the knot is brought through twice. that gives more holding tension for the twine to stay tight while i do the regular single through for the second part of the square knot.

theoretically it sounds easy. and it was not too bad except tedious when the netting was new. but, different parts of the netting have stretched more, and some parts less. add to that, there is no pre stitching for some of the high parts. i have to do it 10 foot up, arms up, 3rd from highest step on the ladder, and my beds are in place, ie, uneven and soft, the east end angled down outward.

something is wrong with me the unit too, im not a hundred percent. that bubonic flu whacked me hard.

i just got to buck up to it!!! and do it!!!

Sorry, I don't nag. I don't think I nag. I try not to nag. There are a few things DH should'a done years ago. If I mention it once a year, is it considered nagging?

Nope, I don't nag. I am more likely to get all the material together and try doing it myself. That usually gets DH out there to protect me from myself.

You will git 'r done when you get it done. There are lots of things that need doing at the beginning of spring. Perhaps your 'inner self' knows that.

Taxes! Oh My! Now don't start nagging about that. I'll get started any day now.

Ummm... better let it wait a while. Surely there's something else that you could be doing until you feel a little better - something closer to the ground.....

And that's right Marshall.

Make sure there's no concentration problems. You've got to be clear-headed on a ladder.

You may also be able to brace that ladder better by laying a short 2 by 12 under a set of legs. Maybe . . . never trust anything except your own clear judgement. Cardinal rule! Remember, I used to carry these big #13 feet up on glass houses . . . carrying glass!

Oh, I've thought of something else Marshall. Do you have a friend who could help you or even keep you company while you do it? Works is always a lot more fun when there are 2 of you. :)

Maybe instead, play Creedence. If "lookin out my back door" or "proud mary" doesn't get you moving.................

Well, Tina did a pretty good "proud mary" too.
