Punkin, I spent quite a bit of time on this but it was days ago . . . finally, had to put it down and do my taxes :rolleyes:!

We will have to wait for confirmation (or otherwise :he) from Daidohead.

I have only squinted thru the cracks in Dad's board fence at the one in the neighbor's yard. Always thought that it had leaves more like a robinia :hu.

I dont think rain tree is the positive ID. Look at the lobes on the Vanderbilt link compared to the Red Bluff tree, they look dissimilar to me...

I'm thinking that's it. The tree pics at the site you posted look very close. I searched Golden rain tree and found many that are a good match.
