Peace lilies are one of those plants that are sold not intending for anyone to keep them alive. Like Christmas poinsettias. I'm sure some can keep them going-they do not like a lot of light.

I've got a peace lily in my office that is 10 yrs old.
I'd better not move it from it's corner, it is apparently very happy there. :)

I have gotten a poinsettia to bloom for the second Christmas season. I could tell you my secret, but I'm afraid you will laugh and discount all my future advice.

I've always wondered about that... Don't they grow wild down in South America or something??? How do the wild ones bloom?
My husbands great Aunt lived in 29 Palms CA and had on ( a huge one) growing under the drip from her a.c. unit. I think it was almost always in some stag of bloom/color.
