Get guineas, they will keep the place tick free......then you have to get a Great Pyrenees to guard the guineas.....might as well get a couple of goats or sheep so the Great Pyrenees will have more to guard......it snowballs from there......

AMKuska, that's what chickens, ducks and guineas are for. They eat ticks, grass hoppers, Japanese beetles....lots of bad bugs.

Welcome to *almost* the east coast! I'm in VA, but I hear WV is more mountainous.
A lot of things grow well on this side of the states, rich soil, good growing weather, heck, some say the air is even good for growing!

I like where we live... 7 months of the year. The rest of the year if I'm not by the fire sewing, I'm probably envying everyone who lives south of Iowa.
