The New Posts Digit, is simply a page formatted slightly differently, and programmed so that you click a thread, go to it, and come back to New Posts, and the thread you were just on is not there... it is no longer "new" to you, until I guess someone else posts on it.

Steve, the little green dot is like the old "tomatoe" before the headings. I use them daily to read all posts.

If you haven't been on for a few days, "recent posts" will bring you up to speed, but if you log in frequently "new posts" works best.
