Well, I may have it figured out. The hematologist was right. I should have stayed on the blood thinner until the numbers were all normal. The stress of DH and then I got an upper respiratory infection in December and my blood thickened. The blood work now really is normal other than the 1 number, same one. There are a couple of other numbers elevated which would show I have a clotting disorder, but that was ruled out in 2016. Those numbers are elevated because the family doctor did not have me go off the blood thinner for 24-48 hours, so the test is not accurate. I realize the one number is elevated, so I will be in danger until it comes down. Inflammation mostly is the cause of this. So, the natural type doctor I went to, he is pretty far out there in his ways, so not even describing his methods, but he told me to take some supplements to help detox. I think it is giving me energy and helping with mood. I will do what he says, change diet, lose weight, take supplements and see if inflammation will go down, but the elevated number may always be there. Not sure what the chickenpox did to me, but when I go off the blood thinner then I will take either baby aspirin or a natural product that has ginger and Ginko biloba and be extra careful if I get sick because that number go be normal when my blood work is tested in June and then who knows if it goes up under stress, eating wrong things, etc. I feel better about it all now. Thank you for the kind words and prayers.

Taking care of yourself is never-ending.

Responsible People do it: For Others, For Themselves.

Individuals are each different and no one has all the answers. Maybe no one has more than a few. However, it's shortsighted to imagine that some who have spent years studying what others have tried to understand and explain and then who have years of experience working on problems do not have a good chance of understanding more than little olde me. I can be reasonably skeptical but also need help for myself and others for serious reasons of health and happiness.

I'm glad you are coming to some understanding and see, if not a light at the end of the ordeal, a way to take care of yourself.

:) Steve

DS and me are starting to be happy and no stress. We are learning to like our new life. Maybe I needed this second go round with pulmonary embolism, to realize I really do have to change. I just thought I had a bad experience the first time and went back to normal. It is a long road back to normal.

For inflammation I use turmeric. It tastes bitter, yuck. I mix it with coconut oil to make a paste and swallow a teaspoon of it with a glass of water. 30 minutes later I can feel it in my joints. Might be worth a try for your inflammation. Read up on it.
