The long branches are what are confusing me. If it was false strawberry I would actually have a spot for it. I don't know what to do with this thing.

BINGO! It is a Rough Cinquefoil. They have leaves in 3's and tall stems. Looks like it can get up to 3" tall. Hummm...wonder if the ducks can eat it.

I don't think your ducks should eat it.
It contains tannic acid, which is mildly toxic to a lot of animals. Sorry!!

heh! it hasn't scared me off my own property yet! i have tons of that stuff i find growing in my yard! and i'm already married so i'm not looking for love anymore, just help around the house when i need it
