Blackbirds (they are really trouble-makers during springtime and can destroy unprotected seedlings.)

Great tit, several of them are building nests and finding proper materials all day long.

It's always such a pleasure to watch these little friends in the garden.

I love the pictures of the birds! You have such pretty birds in your area.
My husband loved to feed the birds and we had many feathered friends come to the bird feeder. The snow and ice storms we had in February 2021 were very hard on birds. Temperatures dropped to -6F degrees, the coldest I’ve ever experienced! Fortunately we had just bought birdseed and for some inexplicable reason, we loaded up. Over a 2 week period, we fed almost 80 pounds of bird seed! I also made peanut butter balls for the birds.

It rained all night heavily.

When I went to feed the chickens in the morning, I found that the wheelbarrow was filled with water up to one-third of its height. One of the garden projects this year is to ensure that each area can be as self-sufficient as possible regarding the water supply.

After a refreshing rain, taking a leisurely stroll through the lush garden is delightful, admiring the glistening dewdrops on the plants and listening to the chirping birds.

Every decision comes with its gains and losses. Living a quiet life in a small town is also one of them.

Recently, I heard that a friend's life was falling apart. He is a person who thrives in bustling cities, where the maximum amount of brilliance, liveliness, and games of fame and power are offered. Still, such a lifestyle also demands some terribly expensive prices.

I find joy and contentment in the tranquility and simplicity of living in a small town and would protect this precious lifestyle.

living away from town means it is hard to walk to anyplace.

living in town means you have to deal more with neighbors.

to me the perfect place would be about a half mile out of town so i could walk to the library, store and post office and still have the space in the country.
