don't know why but got a hair up my butt this morning to start redesigning the germination table, taking it from version 2.0 to 3.0
removed the t-5 and t-12 lighting, carefully removed all the plastic. did a quick list of what i needed from lowes got everything i needed....
returned home went out to the barn to get the screws... not a drywall screw out there.. off to tractor supply..

started by move supports around so i could move the upper tier up 5 ", well heck have a twisted upright, replaced it, all good able to cut out the twist<well in my mind>
and use the it for a cross member for the lower tier...

rebuilt the upper tier made sure that the cross members were level plus added 2"x2" 45* for rigidity..
moved the side cross members for the 2nd tier lighting.. that was easy.. well heck both boards i was going to use way to twisted to use, off to lowes in the morning to finish the rebuild ..

so here is where i am in this project..

still have a couple more weekends to finish this project... will keep you posted....

with this expansion will be able to do 8 trays of seedlings.... and still be able to store junk in the off season

You are getting a jump start on next year. No procrastination here! :clap

the upper table will be for the long term seedling<tomatoes,peppers,eggplant,etc>....
the lower table will be for spring seedlings<lettuces, bok chio,kale,cucumbers,melons,etc>.....

next years gardens will be busy, lot of fresh veggies, with a main focus on replenishing the pantry/freezer .. already told the dw with both of our work schedules, this winter we need to purchase another pressure canner and propane burner. even with staggering plantings one canner will not able to keep up...
