I editted this post to remove the whole thing. Though I meant every word, some may have felt hurt by it.

Congratulations Southern! It will be very enjoyable, especially with your sister there too! :)

Sheesh Marshall, you just took all the fun out of pursuing a MG certificate for myself.

I only know Joan from TEG, but she doesn't seem like the type to get all haughty and puffed up. She seems way too level headed for that. And if she does... well we know how to deal with THAT. We'll call in the professional harassers to work her over!

In my situation I would go after it only because it lends credibility to my business. You would ( or maybe wouldn't ) be surprised at some of the people I come across in my work that quote somebody who has MG certification as if they got the information directly from the mouth of the Almighty. I know these people they are quoting and I wouldn't let them work in my garden.
In other words, they may be certified, but they still don't necessarily know beans from buttermilk.

But I do think you're correct about the social thing Marshall, and I agree that it's something to watch out for.

Haha! Told ya so! :gig

You didn't miss anything that couldn't have stayed posted So Lucky. At least I didn't think ol' Marshall was offensive. He was simply alerting Southern to the possibility of a change in attitude when she gets her certification.

I don't think we need to worry about Joan though. :)

What i posted sure was not meant to offend anybody, and probably wouldn't have...but after i posted it my face was in my hands.

Thistle can say it with more tact than me!

didn't mean to stub my toe on a wasp nest...

Ok I have to ask, are we not suppose to post things that might rile people up? That means I can no longer post here! In fact, if that is the rule, my wife and kids may never let me talk!

I thought it was "pick on Joan and Steve" time?

Oh, oh!

Did I start something by pretending to be an old, senile person (and chiding young Joan)?

You know, we are all sensitive this weekend because of the terrible Friday news from Connecticut. We also all know that it is very possible to go too far with silliness and offend people. We've got some hospital ward humor going on here . . .

Just be patient, I've learned that when you hear that steel cabinet open & close down the hall - the medications will be showing up real soon.

Steve
who needs to get Marshall back to practicing that "run for the hills" smilie.

Oh. I never related that sound with the dixie cup of goodies....but now that I know....

Now you've got me wondering, am I just insensitive?

I love a good ribbing and can take it as well as dish it out. :smack
But probably since this is an internet neighborhood and we can't actually hear voice inflections ( except Seedcorn...sorry. ).. or get visual cues from our conversations I have probably offended the tar out of lots and lots of folks.

This is my official apology to you all. :hide
