Don't panic yet!! A few weeks ago we had hail. Dh was 1/4 mile down the road and he came rushing home, worried about the garden. He was having golf ball sized hail, and we had none....Hopefully you garden will be spared!

I feel for you girl. My garden took a pounding a few weeks back. The plants made it despite a lot of shredded leaves. The ducks never even bothered to go in their house. Morons.

Just got home.

Ducks stayed out. All other animals have brains. They went in. Squash is shredded, potatoes are flattened, the water and hail is everywhere. I am bummed right now........... :( I will do a better inspection when the rain, thunder and lightning stops.

Lots of green tomatoes on the ground.
Growing tips broken off.

The damage was caused by this.

Never in my life have I ever seen anything like it.

I think I can trim and groom the garden so it looks at least presentable. If not, I hope to distract them with the secret weapon.
Hans and Franz.

Oh and to top it off, the chickens have decided to molt. :barnie

Hoo boy, it's always something isn't it? Actually I think everything doesn't look half bad, and with a week or so it should restore itself enough that the damage will not be so objectionable. Remember, everybody else will be in the same boat....we may strive for perfection, but should be content with having done our best.
Your place will be a huge hit, especially with your secret weapons! :D
That would take the cake for me, and it should distract from the girls lack of plumage.
Above all, enjoy yourself!
