Mary I paint everything I love change for small price of paint. Lucky my dogs don't stand still longer enough LOL.

Mary, Wifey, Nicole, asked me to make feeders for her out of 3" PVC pipe. These standing pipes 3 f them have a couple ells on the bottom to the hens can only eat the food and grit that's in the ells.
What a saving in food, they wasted so much before.

Can you picture what I just described? If not I can have the girls take a photo.

I don't think my hens waste feed. There is nothing on the ground. I just think they eat a lot because they're piggies. Seven hens do eat a lot more than 4. lol

Can your son bring home scrapes from the restaurant, that wll make your feed go a lot father.

Nyboy, he probably could but I'm a stickler on what I feed my hens. They are on totally organic feed and the only scraps they get is stuff that I grow organically. I did feed them regular feed this winter for the first time since they weren't laying.

When I first started with hens, I had 2 customers that were buying the eggs. That helped somewhat to cover some cost. But now I give away a dozen each week to my coaches who help me out a lot on my technique.
