Definitely. My conscience wouldn't allow it. That would not be the kind of man I could have any respect for. I think real love is founded on mutual respect anyway, so it's not like my affections could trump that.

Yes I would rat on him. But being somewhat of a chicken I would want him locked up and me a safe place away from him before I spilled the beans. Figure if he is nutty enough to do those things he would not think twice about wanting to shut me up, too.

Key question is would you report someone you know and like. Even as a child we heard reports of things happening in cities and people would watch rather than get involved. Some would say smart thing to do. I'd like to think I would step in if someone was in danger. Would I, until tested, can't say. White crimes happen all the time and are never reported. Like friend/relative living off of government because they can't work-but yet can party, dance, etc. or hide income, do you report them?

If anyone was preparing to murder I and you too, I'll bet, would not let it happen.
It's unlikely you or I or anyone in the sound of our posts would Rob or Murder for any reason to support the attack on a western government if favor of a foreign ideology. But no sane person, with or without Christian upbringing, raised in the free west would just let it happen.

I'm not saying we, you, I or anyone. Would report and in the Communist way of watching your neighbor and tell the local party boss about little things like nail biting.

The problem is that we have people living here with a different code of ethics, so debating whether they should have done the "right" thing is moot....they have a different idea what is right and wrong. It's "right" for them, personally, to kill everyone who is not worshiping the god they worship in the way they worship him. To us that seems horrifying, but these people are indoctrinated from a young age to this "right" and that we, as infidels, are all wrong and need to be removed from the Earth.
Trying to determine if one of them should have done the right thing is like trying to wonder why a dog bites another one in an unprovoked attack. Can't get in the mind of that dog but I'm sure he felt like it was the right thing to do at the time.
We are living in a time when people call good evil and evil good, so these kinds of events will continue to happen and in increasing numbers. Hard to get your mind around it, but it's becoming the new normal. Gonna get worse and worse.
And, yep...I'd turn in a spouse or family member in a heart beat. If the woman can raise a child effectively, she knows enough to report when a crime is about to be committed. Putting your own welfare or even the welfare of your child before hundreds of other people is wrong, no matter how you look at it. But not to them, so trying to reason as to why or why not she should be held accountable is nutty...of course she should, but you'll never get her to realize it.
Side note: I'd take everything you hear from the media with a huge bucket of salt, as hardly anything they report is truth.

Beekissed, I was right with you until you mentioned actions to put the welfare of others before that of my child. Not too sure I could do that even knowing what is right. Of course, I have the ability to reason and make decisions. My child would be far away long before I would need to report Spouse.
I know my Spouse. There's no way he could ever contemplate doing such a thing. I could and would turn him in on the theory that he's not the man I married. Turn in a child? I have.

No, our Federal Government could have stopped and chose to order the paper trail for him and other Muslim suspects wiped from the FBI records. I feel no pity for this woman. What is the worst for her, here in a country were NOBODY loses their hands or their heads, or is physically tortured for crimes like they are in the Middle East? She might end up in an American jail, 3 meals/day, lack of freedom. Remember, the Nazi Army wanted to surrender to American troops instead of Soviet Troops because they knew that the Soviets would torture them...and the American Army would feed them.

After D-Day a Nazi soldier discovered a cake that had been shipped to an American soldier from his mother. This one thing demoralized the Nazi soldier. What kind of a country believes that in wartime the gasoline necessary to ship this superfluous item to a soldier was worth spending? How well off are Americans that they have plenty of grain and can still make cakes, when our rations are dwindling?
If this terrorist is hiding with Sharia-loving friends, I fully expect her to commit suicide, and she might take some MORE innocent Americans with her.
