You should have flown off to the West, @buckabucka .

I missed the first few minutes of the eclipse because it was below my horizon. The horizon was clear and that was certainly appreciated after our smoky summer.

The closeness to the horizon, plus the 14% larger/closer, did make it a lovely eclipse.

Our skies clouded up during the complete coverage, but we were able to see it almost in full eclipse. I kept trying to find a live feed from somewhere; they kept stalling out after a minute or so. Frustrating...50 or so miles from here at the Alto Pass Cross, there was a "watching party" and it was clear there. The local news covered it briefly.

Our moon watch was iffy at best ... clear reddish skies ... moon rising ... moon shimmering ( due to atmospheric moisture ) couldn't really make out the start of the eclipse, but was able to see about 3/4 eclipse, then blurry. :caf

Gorgeous moon this morning ...

The horizon blurred the moonlight by 7 but it was huge and BIG earlier in the morning.

The sun is still killing me no matter which way I'm driving at sunrise and set. Whose idea was it anyway to build streets by the cardinal points??

I caught a glimpse of the eclipse outside the hospital I work at...between trauma calls and general pandemonium. It was just absolutely crazy yesterday, so I could sure do WITHOUT another blood moon eclipse for a while!

The other day, when discussing painful drug side effects, a nurse said: "Where's your sense of adventure?"

@NwMtGardener , where's your sense of adventure?" ;)

We are on the cusp of October. Maybe we need a Halloween thread ... we can do something about that pandemonium and mayhem, totally. Of course, we won't ... I think I should just wander off into the Bitterroots for the next 6 months, or maybe not. This lunatic isn't scared of zombies. Robot drones, on the other hand ...
