WOW
You are Way ahead of our garden. Everything looks great even if it is too wet.

way too wet this year... last year was guess you call it the "perfect stormless season" and we dont have control of any of our weather , we just have to roll with the punches....

have dealt with drought and have dealt with biblical daily rain.. who knows whats going to happen next year..

We once had almost daily rain for 3 September weeks. I'm not saying that it was heavy rain but it was frequent.

It was almost an unimaginable event!

This is nearly an ideal place to grow seed crops. It gets a little more risky, closer to the mountains but, with irrigation especially, grain crops can be grown and harvested almost anywhere on the Columbia Plateau. Seed sprouted before harvesting, that year.

today was a gentle storm compared to other days past, expanded the radar view more coming this way from the mid west, be interesting to see what the Appalachian mountains send this way.... clouds or rain

Your garden is amazing. All I can say is WOW. Others say WOW too. lol I am not sure what I am impressed with more, the color of everything, the variety or the green beans going into the canner. the variety of tomatoes has me writing things down.

Hey Major, you won't believe this but I just checked my schedule and I have some time available to help you harvest some of your cash crops!

I know! I thought I was really booked through the whole season but that time slot just magically opened. Isn't it amazing?

I'm not one to look a gift horse in the mouth so I'll be right there.
Judging by your new avatar that stuff is going to get over ripe in a hurry!

Ah-ha too MANY melons. We do that more often than not with tomatoes and zucchini. What do you do with so many? How long do they keep?

and heres the kicker have about another 20 out there that need to be picked... so made a bunch of calls and of course "we would love some bring them by"
do have a couple friends said they would come by later... so dw going to dry many of the worst split ones and will peel and slice up a few for snacks.
guess the rest will take to work monday....

non split melon will last 3-4 day on the counter 5-7 days in the fridge...

learned something about diplomat melons they come on all at once......:he
