figured since it was a nice cloudy day tore down the cow peas and planted
left bed....... another 1/2 bed of spinach
middle bed... 1/2 ace and 1/2 bolder beets
right bed...... more bolero carrots

10/1/16 update... really October 1st...?
took the girls for their walk this morning almost ran into this web...lord i hate walking into spider webs that you can not see.
the morning dew really set it off, busy little buggers for doing in a nights time....3' x 4'

so it's October 1st here below the 35th line..
had a good chuckle the cherry tomatoes that dropped has gone to seed and flowering.. be interesting if theres a mator or two this fall...

the acorn squash is just happy as a bug in a rug..

as for the fall cucumber experiment, we have a flower...

the peas are slowly coming up.... love a good mess of fall peas for dinner.

still producing yellow watermelons.. theres about 10 out there... what a mess it's out there..

the oregano has loved this cooler weather. looks like another quarts worth..

the sweet banana and highlander peppers are holding their own..

and most important @Nyboy Yankee bell peppers.. what a nice big blocky bell their produce.

only had a quick run today so took the rest of the day off to take care of some choirs
yanked the watermelons ended up with 7 worth keeping the rest was over the fence... it looks better semi cleaned out will take the flame thrower to it some time soon..

broke out the tiller to rough up the main garden seeded it and layed down straw and watered 3/4 of it. this weekend planned on pulling up the peppers and seeding that area as well, so the only thing out there will be the winter squash..

hopefully be able to pressure wash everything to put away for the season.
kind of glad that this season is winding down it,s been a strange one.. but with the help of the dw it has been fruitful ....

woke up this morning & took care of the chickens & looked for any new chicks that hatched. only 1 more but heard the faint peeps of another about to zip. when i got to my car to go to head off to work the temps on the dash said it was 37! biiirrrr. no frost on the ground thank goodness. need to pull the rest of the tomatoes since forecasts are saying this weekend will be cold enough for possible frost.

10/15/16 update..
pulled almost everything in the main garden today.... not a bad little haul for middle of October. dw going to make a couple quarts of pepper rings and most of the bells will go to the lady dd trades for eggs.. tonight we are having stuffed acorn squash dw found a very interesting recipe, will post it later... of course whats left over will take to work monday....

so did a light till,seeded and strawed . still have a few acorn squash that are producing so left them..
