Hmmm, all but one of our kids and grandkids were born up to 2 weeks early . Only one was born on predicted due date. Averages of the masses , I guess !!! :hu

One of ours was three weeks late and 10-1/2 pounds, natural birth. No C-section. The other two were right at 8 pounds and pretty much on time.

Oh I feel for your daughter/in law with a 10 pounder Ridge!
My dad was 13 pounds at birth and there were no more kids after him. I don't know the actual reason for that since everyone else on that side of the family had huge families, but I think if I delivered a 13 pounder I'd retire too.

DHs aunt delivered twin boys that were over 8lbs. each. Ay yi yi....

That was not a daughter-in-law, it was my wife. She had the courage to have another one after that.

Daughter-in-law is aware of that story. She is due with her second the first of February and has had discussions with her doctor about that.

At the time I had my son, another new mother was expressing her surprise with her 12 lb baby, but mentioned she'd heard someone else had one at 13 lb 2 oz. That was my beloved DS!

Not a problem. I once had an old European doctor tell me I wasn't like "American women" and I'd have no problem with deliveries. He was right!

Since this is age humor, I decided to risk putting it here, right ... or, wrong.

Celia Bullwinkel ... says: “Many find ageing to be not funny, which was an obstacle. I love old slapstick cartoons, so my approach was to exaggerate the follies of growing older, without having it be mean-spirited." Yeah!

Steve :)
who has learned that Americans and Canadians spell if "aging" but the British and others use "ageing." (link) live, learn, and tolerate ...
