I agree and thank you. I hate to hear about your mother and property. Such a loss if it happened.
Govt has a Lien on it , but we consulted a lawyer and have a plan for getting it back when and if she leaves us. She pretty tuff though , her body went septic in early October and started shutting down her organs. The ER in CDA put her on life support and told us not much hope, but 2 days later her kidneys started working again and three days after that she woke up and got off life support. She is now up to walking with a cane and doing well. Yes Idaho more aggressive about recovering money but there are things you can do, don’t be in hurry. PS our first grandson is due in 2 days and we are trying to be patient.

I think you will be interested in this story I just cam across today-very interesting. https://www.npr.org/sections/health...turns-up-possible-treatment-for-deadly-sepsis

And yay about the grandson-they are the best. Just had my 3 boys over with their new puppy. My dog does not have much contact with dogs so I was a bit nervous. They did very well together.. Boys and puppies.....the best.

You made the decision to pick yourself up, dust off your pants from getting knocked flat, and get on with living. You have too many others in your family that love you and need you, than to grieve yourself sick. Some people never get over a loss and stab themselves daily with grief. Your family needs you and I love your attitude of being their cheerleader. Just know that people here on TEG care about you and you can come here and unload. We will listen and let you vent, rave or just quietly tell us what is going on in your world. :)

Thank you! I agree. I was one of those stock up for Y2K, and then later thinking Bible prophesy and really still do some about the 70 years and 2018. Well, as soon as DD said she was pregnant, that all changed. I do not talk about it, think about or care. That kind of stuff has worried her because at church they talk rapture any minute. She just wants to hold this baby. I decided my job is to keep her healthy and calm and have this baby. My job on earth is my children. I was sort of mad at DH for smoking and never stopping and leaving us like this, but he did all he could on earth and lived his life. He never wanted any of this to happen. I am not mad at him or Medicaid, or anybody.

Your mother is strong!!! CDA ER, really I have never heard anything but death there. They said my mother would die in 3 months and she lived 2 years, only to come back to CDA ER and have only comfort care and I did not know that was in her chart. DD went there and had the flu, but thought something wrong with kidneys, only 3 weeks pregnant and they said she probably was having a miscarriage. The horror stories of DH but at least they saved his life the first time. Congratulations on the grandson! I will know next month if grandson or granddaughter. So excited!

Humans have been predicting the end of the world for thousands of years. When left alone in death our heads go to the idea that the world can not go on without our loved ones. I would never go to a church that preached such fear. A new life brings loss into perspective. So happy for all of the youths in my life.

A preacher asked his congregation, WHO WANTS TO GO TO HEAVEN?

Everybody stood up except one man down front. The preacher, concerned, asked the man, "Don't you want to go to heaven?"

The man replied, "I sure do!"

The preacher asked, "Then why didn't you stand up?"

The man answered, "Well, Preacher, I thought you was gettin' up a load to go NOW!

Oh Mary, I don't know how I missed this thread but feel so awful for you. I can't imagine all this mess you are going through after losing your husband. My heart aches for you. I hope that several months later things are so much more in prospective for you. I wish you peace and joy. Praying you have found it. Hugs

Mary
