all the red/yellow/orange markers to the SW are not as good
as you'd like to see... it is better than it was though for sure.

i use these two because i'm more geared towards watching CO and CA type water supply issues:

both are looking good for this year. the storm of the past few days
has bumped things up nicely.

reservoir list has gained half a million acre feet of water in one day, it will be more over the course of the next week as the flows come down...

That SnowMap for the Upper Colorado Region is so easy to look at and gain some general understanding, @flowerbug .

I wonder why I can't find something like that for the Columbia River.

Looked for about 15 minutes using both the gov search and google ...

my guess is that it was a project for an intern or someone temporary and they didn't put it in for others, but that is just a guess... i suppose sending an inquiry to the website contact people may get a response... i haven't done that myself.

after some moments of reflection i also think that it is because the PNW is normally more wet and not as subject to drought so perhaps not as many people think it important enough to follow? the UC area influences indirectly quite a large number of people (several million acre feet goes to southern CA for agriculture but also for LA water supply along with Las Vegas, parts of New Mexico and Arizona). and to add to that there is also a treaty requirement for Mexico to get some of that water.

Our evergreen forests may burn up! Our massive export of wheat may be lost! Hydroelectric power not generated! Salmon runs! Ski seasons! Dry air is hard on my sinuses!

... On an odd positive note, the Weather Service has already rated February 2019 as having the 4th greatest amount of snowfall in recorded history for Spokane. And, that was only to the 15th! Another 3 1/2 inches and this month will move into third place. I have to think that those dryland wheat farmers are delighted!
