Looks like our low in the 30's comes next Wen. and Thurs. nights. Sure it'll change by then. It was so warm here today I actually took a nap. Haven't done that for awhile. Must be all this fresh hot air. Apple trees are budding out now too. I haven't seen any new growth on my rose bush yet. I moved it last year so I'm hopeing it'll be ok.

Swampducks you getting any rain down your way. We have a lot of lightening south of us. A bit of thunder but no rain so far tonight.

I saw the flashes last night, they were out my north facing window, didn't hear any thunder, at least nothing close. It looks like the dirt the guineas had a dust bath in is slightly damp but nothing more. It's sprinkling now. The front cooled things off though instead of 90 they're predicting 75.

Weekend forecast is predicting my fears now. Sunday night 32, Monday night 28. Not good.

We ended up getting a down pour early this morning, just enough to wet things up a bit. Yep it looks like Mother Nature is getting back to the norm of things.

After my last post we also got a nice long downpour so I didn't have to water the snow peas. High was 62.7, 23 degrees warmer than normal and 22 degrees cooler than yesterday.

It didn't get any warmer then 48 here today. We're doing some remodeling and putting Hughsnet on hold for a bit. So the only time I'll be on is when I go up to Rogers City to the librairy. Maybe when I do get back on here the gardens will be planted and no frost again until late Sept. Have fun planting all and take care of your knees and backs.

happy Saturday. Today is sure better than yesterday, I went to Alpena to try to see about a new battery for my phone, Walmart, where I bought my phone doesn't sell any, picked up some seeds and one of those seed starter trays, and on the way home, the car died, very slowly, over about an 8 mile stretch. I think it's the fuel pump. Had to be towed. Good thing I knew something was up and met up with DH who followed me as I don't have a working cell phone.

But today's pizza is very tasty!

Good afternoon Michiganders/Michiganians!

Finally sunny again and it's 60 out side but predicting 19 tonight and tomorrow night and a couple other nights below freezing. Going to cover my small roses and the 3 lilacs with buds just to be safe.

My first pepper has sprouted! I'm only growing sweet pickle pepper, they look pretty pickled and they're small enough to use in salads or in cooking. I can never use a whole bell pepper at once and inevitably it goes bad before I need it again. I like Gypsy peppers too, but none of the sites I went to offered them this year. Oh well, maybe I'll find them again next year.
