GTFO!!

they have purple bell peppers!?
OMG must have for next season...

Next year I wanna try to make the veggie garden a little more ornamental. i think a mixed variety of bell peppers would be a good way to start. My green ones are doing well this year, and bell peppers are expensive here, as the locals prefer what they call a "cooking pepper" its an elongated sweet pepper, that just doesn't compare, but because its more affordable here people are accustomed to them.

Butternut Squash

Dont ask me where he heck i'm going to be hosting these vines at. i don't know. i think i may have to 86 the lawn in order to plant more stuff.

Or perhaps start gardening on the roof some how.
Sometimes I don't know which is more of an addiction, gardening or chickens.

That could depend on if your chickens make it over to your garden.

So you can have melons and such go up? I'd never heard that before!
I don't think you are hijacking.lol
According to Mel in Square Foot Gardening about anything can go up. Yo just need enough support. That's where the pantyhose and stuff comes in to play. You have to make slings to support the fruit.

Panty Hose Watermelon. Actually, I've heard about it. I will be planting my watermelon next to a fence this year, I may let a couple of vines go up the fence.

My honeydew climbed the garden fence one year & I did not support the melons & they were just fine. Last year one of my cantaloupes climbed up & thru a tomato cage & the melons were fine without support just hanging there. Now watermelons since they are so big I think I would support them.

I have been told that the stems grow thicker to adjust for the weight and that makes sense to me.
