Here's a view from across the yard towards the courtyard. It's very early spring in this pic, so the wisteria vines blend in with the woods.

Hear's one from the road quite a few years ago in very early Spring. The wisteria had not even grown half way across the barn foundation yet.

Here's another older pic

This way taken on the 4th of July a while back. Note the pine tree branches creating a roof in the courtyard.

Hey, you said you liked pics! Last one....

Her's a shot from behind the wall at the end of the parking area where I put a wrought iron fence section in the middle of the wall.

What a way to make the best of a bad situation! I bet you are glad now that they wouldn't let you rebuild it. :) It really makes a splendid backbone for your landscape and a perfect sitting area.

Well, to tell you the truth, we had to cut the wisteria down last year. For those of you who have ever grown wisteria, you know it needs massive support. Our wisteria got so thick with vines the size of little tree trunks, we were afraid of it collapsing the two supporting barn walls. Other than the wisteria, everything else is the same. I am thinking of making a garden in the old foundation now. There is a lot of stone on the ground, but I can make a wall in front, dump in soil, and make it a step or two up into the garden....maybe like a patio garden. I still miss the wisteria.

Oh, it is. It's a beautiful setting, and except for that little beige house you can see in my last pic that I rent to someone, we are surrounded by woods, but only 1 mile off the main road where all the stores are and 2 miles from Route 80.
