I'm very interested. I must've missed the part about blooming in spring. I want to know exactly what it is, and i ruled out the prairie variety because of the leaves.

It's possible to know what it is....just depends on how hard you're willing to look.
Then again, maybe some Asteraceae expert will come along and tell us what it is...!
