The night before Easter my head groomer got a DWI coming home from a party. He is a good family man who never gets in trouble. Yesterday he need off to attend some class. This morning he told me he will lose his licence. There is no public transportation that goes near kennel so I have to pick and drop him off every day. I don't mind driving him home after work, but my mornings are crazy, I do a lot before being at work 7:30 every day. I feel like I am the one being punished. I know this will be much harder on him, I just need to rant.:rant

Ask him to find another way to work, ubber, taxi, a co-worker. Surely something could be worked out.

Sorry NY sometimes life throws you a curve ball. Maybe if there are other employes that live his way you could ask them to pick him up a few mornings a week.

He got the DUI, the responsibility is on him! That's part of the consequences. He can have his wife or someone else take him in the mornings or he can pay for his own Uber. You shouldn't be stuck with that.

I know I sound kind of harsh but it just irks me when people won't take responsibility for their own actions. They never learn because someone is always there to bail them out. Perhaps you could charge him and take it out of his wages.

I am taking a guess it was not his first arrest. I do not think you lose the license the first time. I think you can apply for permission to go to and from work-maybe after the classes. How long did he lose it for? He should have called you for a ride home from the bar. Save a lot of money and hassle.

1st arrest never been in trouble before. I thought he would get a conditional licence where you can drive to work or school. But state did away with them, they do not fool around with DWI. Mothers Against Drunk driving attend all court case dealing with DWI here. It is my problem because he doesn't come to work I have to do his job on top of my own.

Or replace him if he can't get to work. Or is he the only qualified groomer in area? He can do as the Indiana DUI's do. Moped....

I hope he has learned his lesson, you say he's a good family man, could his wife not drive him to work, or is she like me doesn't drive. I think it is on him to find his own way to work, there are always consequences to deal with when one makes the wrong choices.
