You mean I'm not the only one with a perfectionist husband when it comes to projects? I just want the darn thing done and to move on to the next item on the 100 To Do List.

Another wife of a perfectionist carpenter and wood worker here. Fortunately for me, the square, plumb, and perfect comes as easy to him as breathing. While I constantly here his opinion of "The good old days" in construction, he's fixing, shimming, and tweaking the old parts to make the new fit like a glove.

In fact, one of our biggest problems is his exactness in measuring means several pieces of cupboard, several spaces for built-ins, and several other critical dimensions are so close to exact that the pieces just fit. Try to slip a coin between my washer and dryer. I dare you to try. Then when a new unit is needed (and of course it is a slightly different size) there is another crises.

I feel your pain Dew. My husband is also know as Mr. Square Plumb & Level.
All the stuff you can't see has to be perfect before he moves on. I understand the reasons for that, but boy, it can sure make me fidgety.

now thistle you need to remember a house is a man's castle .......
