New property owners again

This is my idea of fun! My DH, however, thinks there are far too many choices for paint, carpet, and vinyl flooring. Not his idea of anything more than work. His favorite color/style/etc. is the cheapest in the store. For our house I did a lot of haggling, but with rental property, I looked for less expensive but good. I couldn't buy the cheapest unless I intended to redo the place every other year.

I am excited for you, Dew. This is what makes all the hard work into a place to call home.

Have to go back to lowes tomorrow for more paint. Two colors for our room and Monty helped pick it out!!!!! And another color for the living room. I even bought a new shower curtain and some tid bits for the bathroom.

Dew shot down my first color choice. It was NOT white...it was Winter Dawn, the little color tab thing said so.
And after deciding on a new sink, range hood and a few other items, I figured we better wait on new uppers for the kitchen. The cabinets that are there are fine, but will look somewhat out of place. If it's too ugly, I'll bite the bullet and replace them too.
Oh, to be clear, this is not a permanent home for us. This is only a place to live so we can tear our place down and build our real home. Once our house is built, the new trailer will either be sold, or rented out, or an emergency home for one of our daughters, or maybe even just a place for my family to stay if any of them come to visit. It could also be used for visiting TEG members

Big delivery coming tomorrow. Carpet, vinyl, cabinets (yes I broke down and bought uppers too ). Of course they weren't supposed to deliver until Sunday morning, but they called Dew today and said they would be here tomorrow.
The electric company is twisting my chain. They were supposed to come out today and cut me loose from the pole so I can change the disconnect and replace the feeder cable and post. They didn't show up. I need power in there! So I showed them...

I bought a new 7KW generator. Now I have power.

I still have to order the new tub. I have to wait until I get the old one out so I know if I need one with legs, or foam support. I suspect there is some floor damage under there because the old one is cracked, so I have a little time before ordering it.

The existing kitchen cabinets are not in terrible shape, so I am going to try to save them and give them to DD. The poor thing has zero cabinets in her house.

There's not much to post pics of yet. All of the drywall is now repaired and Dew is painting. Tomorrow I'll start repairing the bad spots in the floor (now that I have POWER). Youngest DD has another parade tomorrow so I'll be working alone while Dew takes a well deserved day off.
