. the septic tank lid isn't very secure.

Otherwise, the rest of us at the rest-stop are probably safe.

How does something like that get in the plumbing? :eek:
My parents had a condo in Florida. They were told to put plastic wrap on there toilets when they left for the summer to go back north because of this very thing. So I guess it happens now and again. As a hater of snakes getting bit in the but was my childhood fear. We had an outhouse for many years at our lake cottage. I could take the stink but I always made a quick job of it because of my fear.

I hate snakes, thank goodness all we have around here are garter snakes. If I see them first I'm O.K. but if they startle me you'll find me hanging from the nearest tree branch.
Before we were on sewer a neighbor had a rat climb out of their toilet, needless to say it freaked her out. I was so glad when they put in a sewer line to service our area.
