odd potatoes

Thistle bloom, your climate is a lot colder then it is here. Potatoes left in the ground probably go into "cold storage" :lol: Here it is hot enough that there would be probability of rotting. I have worn shorts and t-shirt in November and December, when it is supposed to be cold. :/

BJ, split the difference. Wait until frost or just before frost, dig up half. If they make decent potatoes, you might want to dig most of them, but leave some in the ground. Mark the spot and wait for spring to see what they do.

Yes, good point about the difference in climates Bay. :)

I read BJs' post as her having a single plant that sprouted. That's why I figured she may as well leave it in the ground. If it's just come up there won't be any spuds yet. But since my climate is so different my advice is probably not pertinent.
